The CariBule guide

How to meet foreign men and start a conversation

Looking to meet someone from abroad? You do not need a perfect English accent or an impressive travel history. A clear profile and a considerate first message give someone a useful starting point. Here is how to begin on CariBule without pretending to be someone else.

Prepare a profile that starts a real conversation

Use recent photos of yourself and write a few specific lines about your everyday life. Instead of just saying you like music, name an artist you enjoy. Mention the languages you can use comfortably and whether you want friendship, dating or a serious relationship. Keep your home address, workplace details and personal documents private. Honest details help someone find common ground without exposing your routine.

Make the first hello personal and easy to answer

Read the other person's profile and pick one detail you are actually curious about. Introduce yourself briefly, mention that detail and ask one open question. Short, simple English is fine. If you use a translation tool, check that the message still sounds like you. Adapt the examples below to the person's actual interests rather than sending the same text to everyone.

Two ways to say hello

Hi Alex, I'm Rani from Bandung. Your profile mentions cooking. What dish do you enjoy making most? I'm learning to make a good soto ayam.
Hi Ben, I'm Maya. I noticed you enjoy walking outdoors. Do you prefer the beach or the mountains? I like short walks when the weather is cooler.

Build a conversation, one reply at a time

Respond to what the person said, share a little about yourself and leave room for them to ask questions too. Avoid turning the chat into an interview. Ask before discussing sensitive topics or switching languages. Time zones and work can slow replies, so give people space. If someone declines or stops responding, respect the decision instead of sending repeated messages or trying another account.

Understand who can actually reply

Some CariBule profiles come from a public dating source and are marked as unclaimed. Their owners cannot reply here until they claim those profiles. A photo, a profile card or a place in the list does not prove that someone is active or interested. Look for the unclaimed label and adjust your expectations. Signing up, paying for a plan or sending a thoughtful introduction never guarantees a reply.

Keep the next step comfortable for both of you

Stay in the app while you get to know someone, and do not feel obliged to share your phone number immediately. A short video call can help check whether a person resembles their profile, but it cannot guarantee safety. If you eventually meet, choose a busy public place and arrange your own transport.
